History
As the true-life story goes, Mr. Flegenheimer basically started his career from the ground up. Mr. Flegenheimer started working in the customs broker business back in 1967 as a driver for a large customs brokerage and freight forwarder. Mr. Flegenheimer saw the opportunity to challenge himself by working diligently and learning the countless regulations involved in a customs brokerage career. Through his vast experience in various companies as a problem solver and import coordinator, he became familiar with all phases of import operations, both for ocean and airfreight, and the technical aspects in dealing with multiple governmental agencies.
In 1978, Mr. Flegenheimer saw a need, particularly at the Los Angeles International Airport and the Los Angeles Harbor, for a customs broker to specialize in servicing the perishable food market and other clients who needed customs clearance on a timely basis. He did this especially so that importers could pick-up their shipments during the nights and weekends. Tailoring his services to accommodate the clients specific needs, unique requirements and with the basic philosophy of being available 24-hours a day, seven days a week to his clients, Mr. Flegenheimer started his own customs brokerage firm.
Today, William Flegenheimer has grown into a successful customs brokerage and freight-forwarding firm know as "Flegenheimer International, Inc." The firm now has over fifteen people working for Mr. Flegenheimer, most of which have been with him for over ten years. Coupled with the latest technological advances within the customs broker and freight forwarder industry, they are able to track your shipment via the Internet and let the client know exactly where their shipment is and when it will be delivered. Everyone at Flegenheimer International, Inc. always keeps the clients needs first and foremost in their minds, which always means 100% client satisfaction.
