GSP Update: Thailand

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced last Friday, October 25, 2019 that President Trump is suspending $1.3 billion in trade preferences for Thailand under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) based on its failure to adequately provide internationally-recognized worker rights.

Effective April 25, 2020, GSP eligibility will be revoked for approximately one-third of eligible products from Thailand, including seafood products.
