We have been notified by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that, due to budgetary restraints, as of 3/11/2013, they will no longer be available to inspect or clear overtime shipments. For our airfreight importers, overtime shipments include those which arrive on evenings, weekends or holidays – anything outside of F&W’s normal hours of operation which are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
If your freight requires clearance by Fish & Wildlife, we suggest you instruct your shippers to book flights that arrive in the U.S. on weekdays no later than 2:30 pm, to ensure your best chances of timely processing by U.S. F & W. Flegenheimer International will do everything in our power to arrange Fish & Wildlife clearances and inspections in a timely manner to minimize delays to your perishable airfreight shipments.
