Update: Some Seafood Products from China Exemption Expiring August 7, 2020

Some seafood products from China on US’ 25% tariff exemption are set to expire on August 7, 2020 according to the USTR that was sent out on March 26, 2020. Examples are Tilapia, Alaskan sole, and other fish. Please review the complete list on which items will be affected with the additional duty.

Although USTR has received many comments from the seafood industry requesting for extension, as of today, there is no announcement if the exclusion will be extended.
