Update to PMA and ILWU as the Existing Contract Expires

A joint press release was issued by PMA and ILWU on July 1,2014 regarding their talks on a New Labor Agreement as the existing contract has expired on June 30,2014. Negotiations will continue to move forward. Although no extension will be granted, cargo will keep moving and normal operations will continue until agreement is reached. Both parties understand the importance of the need to finalize the new contract to avoid any disruption at West Coast Ports.
