Have No Fear, FSVP Courses are Here!

With the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) deadline of May 30, 2017 approaching closer, you may be thinking, “Where do I start?”

If you have not heard already, the FSVP program is a fundamental feature of the Food Safety Moderation Act (FSMA) designed to verify that foreign suppliers are complying with the production of food and food products. Importers must now verify that their foreign suppliers are producing foods in an appropriate and preventive manner and ensure that food is not being adulterated or misbranded with respect to allergen labeling.

With the deadline fast approaching, the International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI) has commenced a few dates for FSVP courses to help importers with this new implementation of food safety. Below are a few upcoming course dates for the month of April.

San Pedro, CA: April 20, 2017

San Diego, CA: April 27 – 28, 2017

More courses are available in cities such as Miami, Chicago, San Antonio, Atlanta, San Pedro, and San Diego.
