Upcoming Seafood Import Monitoring Program Webinars: May and June 2017

 

National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) published its Final Rule on implementing Seafood Monitoring Program on December 9, 2016 for imports of certain seafood products. This risk-based traceability program will require the importer of record to provide and report key data from the point of harvest to the point of entry into U.S. commerce on an initial list of imported fish and fish products identified as particularly vulnerable to IUU fishing and/or seafood fraud.

Mandatory compliance date for this rule will be on January 1, 2018 (except for shrimp and abalone which will be at a later date).

Dolphinfish (Mahi Mahi)
Grouper
King Crab (red)
Pacific Cod
Red Snapper
Sea Cucumber
Sharks
Shrimp *
Swordfish
Tunas: Albacore, Bigeye, Skipjack, Yellowfin, and Bluefin
